Payment links
Create a link to charge for a product or a deposit and send it by chat or social media. Works for a one-time payment or one that repeats every month.
Updated
A payment link is the fastest way to get paid: you send it to the customer in a chat, and they pay by card from their phone. No invoices or paperwork.
You need Stripe connected first: see Connect your own Stripe to get paid.
Create a payment link
- Click Payments › Payment Links.
- Click Create Link.
- Give it a name only you will see, such as "Booking deposit".
- Add one or several products with their price. See Products, prices, taxes and coupons.
- Choose one-time or recurring (repeats every month, for example).
- If you like, ask the customer for extra details, such as their address.
- Save and click Copy link.
Send it to the customer
- Open the conversation with the customer in Messages.
- Paste the link in the message and send it.
- When they pay, you'll see the payment in your app and the customer's profile updates.
For a deposit, a clear name ("Deposit to book your appointment") avoids doubts for the customer.
When to use a link and when an invoice
- Payment link: quick charges, deposits, products you hand over or reserve.
- Invoice: when you need a document with detail and a due date. See Create and send an invoice.
If something goes wrong
- The link won't open or says it's unavailable: check that Stripe is connected and the link isn't turned off.
- The payment doesn't show: it can take a few minutes. See A payment isn't showing in the app.
- You set the wrong price: create another link and turn off the old one.
