Your website chat

Your website's chat bubble: where messages arrive, how NEO asks for the visitor's contact and how to change its color and greeting.

Updated

Your website chat is the bubble visitors see in a corner of the page. It's the first channel where NEO answers, and its messages land in your Messages inbox.

How it works

  1. A visitor opens the bubble and types.
  2. NEO replies right away with your business details.
  3. If they want to book or need a person, NEO guides them or hands you the conversation.
  4. You see everything in Messages, under the "website chat" channel.

NEO may ask the visitor for their name and a phone or email so the conversation can continue if they leave the page.

Change the color and greeting

  1. Go to Website › Chat Widget.
  2. Open your website chat.
  3. Change the color to match your brand, the greeting and the displayed name.
  4. Check the preview.
  5. Click Save.

A short greeting works best: "Hi, I'm NEO, [your business]'s AI assistant. How can I help?"

Add it to a new page

Your NeuroAI website already has it in place. If you have another page or website of your own, copy the chat code with Get code and paste it into that page's tracking code. If you don't know how, ask us.

Test it

Open your website in a private window, type in the chat and check the message reaches Messages. See Test NEO as if you were a customer.

If something goes wrong

  • The bubble doesn't show: clear your browser cache and reload.
  • Messages arrive but NEO doesn't reply: see NEO isn't replying.
  • You don't see the bubble on your other page: the code still needs pasting.
