Missed calls: NEO texts back for you
When someone calls and you don't answer, your account texts them, leaves you a task to call back and alerts you. That way you don't lose the customer.
Updated
A call nobody answers is often a customer going to someone else. Your template prevents that by messaging the customer right away.
What happens when you miss a call
- Someone calls your number and you don't answer (or you're busy, or it goes to voicemail).
- If your plan allows it, that person gets a short message, for example: "Hi, we saw your call and couldn't pick up. How can we help? Write to us here."
- A task is created on their profile: "Call back [number] ([name])", due in 30 minutes.
- You get an alert in the app's bell and by email.
- If the person replies, the conversation continues with NEO or your team.
If they call several times in a row, they get just one message, not one per call.
Which channel we use
- SMS, if you have SMS active and registered. See SMS: your sending number and US registration.
- If SMS isn't possible, you only get the alert and the task, and the alert tells you so.
What you do
- Open the alert or the task in Contacts.
- Call back or reply in Messages.
- Mark the task as completed.
The Grow and Scale plans can have NEO by voice, which answers first. See NEO by phone (voice).
If something goes wrong
- No message goes out: the channel may not be connected or the person may not have given permission.
- Two messages go out: let us know, another missed-call alert may be active.
