Ask customers for Google reviews
Ask all your served customers for Google reviews with the "Ask for review" button or the review:request tag, and let the automatic message do the rest.
Updated
Google reviews are the first thing new customers look at. Your account asks your customers for them at the best moment, right after you've served them.
The golden rule
A review is requested from every customer equally, and nothing is ever offered in exchange. That's what Google and the law require, and it gives you more believable reviews. Don't filter who you ask based on whether you think they'll give a good rating.
How it's requested automatically
- You mark the appointment as Showed in your calendar, or the customer completes their purchase.
- About 2 hours later, the customer gets a thank-you message with a direct link to leave their Google review.
- If they don't open the link, after 48 hours they get a single friendly reminder.
- They aren't asked again for 90 days, so they don't get tired of it.
The exact timing can change depending on your type of business: some ask for the review a few days after delivering the job.
Ask one customer by hand
- Open the customer's profile in Contacts.
- Click Ask for review, or add the review:request tag.
- The same automatic message is sent.
It also works for your latest customers: that's the "Ask your customers for reviews" step of "My first day", under "To grow". See "My first day": NEO guides you to get your account ready.
Before you use it
- Click Reviews in the top bar.
- Check that your Google profile is connected. See See and reply to your reviews.
- Try the review link from your phone.
If something goes wrong
- The customer didn't get the message: check their contact channel and that they haven't unsubscribed. See Unsubscribes, STOP and customer consent.
- We asked someone you don't want to bother: remove the tag before next time, or write to us.
- The link goes to the wrong page: check the Google profile you connected.
