View, pause or turn on an automation

Learn how to open your automations, tell draft from published, pause them, and why you shouldn't delete the ones that come with your template.

Updated

An automation is a series of steps that runs on its own when something happens, such as when someone books an appointment. You can view them, pause them and turn them back on whenever you like.

View your automations

  1. In the left menu, click Automations.
  2. You'll see a list with each automation's name and status.
  3. Click one to open it and see its steps.

Understand the status

  • Published: it's on and working.
  • Draft: it's off. It does nothing until you publish it.

Pause an automation

  1. Open Automations and go into the one you want to stop.
  2. At the top right, switch it from published to draft.
  3. Click Save.

It stops acting from that moment. To turn it back on, do the same in reverse and publish.

If you only want NEO to stay quiet in one specific conversation, you don't need to pause anything: see Pause or turn off NEO.

Pause rather than delete

The automations that come with your template are connected to each other. If you delete one, others may stop working, and it can't be undone with one click. If you don't want it, pause it and that's it. If you already deleted one by mistake, write to us and we'll restore it.
